Lesson: Webbing activity. Teacher will brainstorm with students different types of
animals. Teacher will use name grid to record the animal that each child will draw.
Students will come up with specific animals teacher will group these animals together and
help students name the group. On carpet teacher will demonstrate how to sort into groups
using animal pictures. Teacher will make a web in inspirations. On each page will be a
different type of animal (ex. Pets, farm, zoo). Students will illustrate an animal and
write the animal’s name. Students will then tell an adult what section their animal
should go in.
