Lesson: Read book
"The Wind Blew". Have students listen for things that the wind blew in the
story. Demonstrate book to students. Students will illustrate what the wind blew and copy
the words "The wind blew my _____." Students will use inventive spelling to fill
in a word that corresponds to the picture. Show to teacher when finished and place in
school bag.
Demonstrate how to make pinwheels.
- students will cutout pinwheel pattern
- students will decorate both sides of pattern
- student will take completed pattern to teacher to assemble
