Hundredth Day

For the 100th day of school I choose to focus on the multiple intelligences according to Howard Gardner. I began by making a 100th day scavanger hunt. The students had 12 activities in which to choose from. Their goal was to complete 10 and then they would receive a 100 grand candy bar. In addition to the scavanger hunt activities we also had a bean bag toss on the steps( the goal was to get a score of 100) (bodily-kinesthic), danced the chicken dance every one hundred minutes (bodily-kinestic), sang "I've been working in the classroom for 100 days" (musical) and completed 100 acts of kindness (interpersonal). Overall I think the students enjoyed the day.
