I would like to support Miss Roxanne Brate for a position in the teacher intern program. Roxanne has the ability and potential to be a superior teacher. I have had the privilege of working with her the past three years. She has demonstrated outstanding performance abilities and superior teaching techniques. During auditions for color guard captain for the Bearcat Bands this past season, she presented herself in a very professional manner. She was prepared with complete lesson plans, detailed curriculum and teaching methods. She was very well organized and completely at ease in the role as instructor of her peers. I was impressed at her skill level as a beginning teacher and she did receive the position based on demonstrated skills and methods. Roxanne is an excellent student and would benefit greatly in a position as a teaching intern. This process would mold her into a professional level teacher and prepare her to face "reality" teaching. Roxanne works well under pressure and is always willing to take the extra time to help those that are having difficulty with the material. There is also strong evidence that she is willing to give considerably more than the minimum amount necessary to complete a task. Please give her all due consideration for your program.
