What I want

September 13, 2006 under Camera

My wife urged me to enter the Meijer “It’s What I Want” contest.  Basic premise is that you take a picture of what you want and tell why you need it.

I chose the Canon EOS XT digital camera.  Our camera had died 3 times in the last year (all warranty claims).  Last year, it died on the first day of Kindergarten (hence the caption).  About it a month ago, it died on our vacation to visit my sister in California.  She let us borrow her EOS and I loved it.  A great camera.

Please click here and vote for mine (picture below)…so that I can win.

Interesting Carbonite log

September 13, 2006 under Computer

Decided to try out Carbonite based on Omar’s recommendation.  Seems like a great program & cheap.

I was looking around in the log (C:Program FilesCarboniteCarbonite BackupdataCarbonite.log).  There are a lot of interesting messages and metrics there.  The funniest one that I saw was this:

“BackupThread: Backup for backup changes delayed due to backup delay.”

Not sure if it is an obvious statement or conflicting…still pondering.

Too close…

September 11, 2006 under Uncategorized

As it stands right now, I am down 7 points in my league.

I think Tiki will pullout it for me tonight…hopefully.  I know that I should have started Tony G….but Tight Ends usually are that productive.  Baltimore was surprisingly tough today on defense.

In addition, the Fairfield Sharps and my team are the top 2 teams in the league this week.

Go Bucks

September 10, 2006 under Uncategorized

The Ohio State Buckeye’s win over Texas last night was one of the best football games I have seen in awhile.  Probably the most impressive display was the punters (on both sides).  I think most people thought it was going to be a high scoring slugfest.  It turned out to be more like a Woody Hayes brawl over field position.

Unfortunately, I don’t think UC will have any hope this year…especially after Friday’s lost to Pitt.
